The third international project meeting of the Data-Driven Student Dropout Prediction Programme (DROP) was held in Târgu Mureș from 9 to 11 October 2026. The meeting was attended on behalf of Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University by a staff member of the Antal Hodinka Research Centre for Linguistic and a lecturer from the Department of Accounting and Finance. The event was hosted by the Târgu Mureș Faculty of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania.

During the professional programme, participants reviewed the progress made so far and discussed the tasks carried out at the individual partner institutions during the previous period. Adrienn Vig, a staff member of the Antal Hodinka Research Centre for Linguistic, and Violetta Simon, a lecturer at the Department of Accounting and Finance, jointly gave a presentation on the work carried out at Rákóczi University, entitled “Report on the Tasks Implemented at Rákóczi University within the Framework of the Data-Driven Student Dropout Prediction Programme (DROP)”. The presentation provided an overview of the activities completed so far and the experience gained during the implementation of the project.

The participants also discussed the tasks and plans for the next phase of the project. The meeting included a review of the upcoming professional activities, the work planned for the 2026–2027 period, and tasks related to the dissemination of the project’s results.
The professional discussions were complemented by social activities. The participants had the opportunity to explore the historic centre of Târgu Mureș on a guided walking tour, discovering some of the city’s main sights and points of interest. The informal programme also provided an opportunity for representatives of the partner institutions to exchange experiences and further strengthen their professional cooperation.

The project meeting in Târgu Mureș provided an important opportunity to coordinate the work completed so far, share experiences, and jointly plan the next phase of the DROP programme.
