Program title: Reading Comprehension Competence Assessment in Transcarpathian Hungarian Higher Education

Brief description: The questionnaire-based reading comprehension competence assessment was conducted during the 2017–2018 and 2018–2019 academic years with the participation of students from two higher education institutions operating in Transcarpathia that offer the possibility of Hungarian-language education. These institutions were the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education (hereinafter: II RFKMF) and the Ukrainian–Hungarian Educational and Scientific Institute of Uzhhorod National University. A total of 186 students participated in the survey. In the 2017/2018 academic year, 87 students of the II RFKMF completed the questionnaire, while 77 students of the Uzhhorod National University’s Ukrainian–Hungarian Educational and Scientific Institute participated during the same academic year, and a further 22 respondents completed the questionnaire in the 2018/2019 academic year.
