Brief description: The Erasmus+ project “Supporting Inclusive Learning Environments – Strategies for Supporting Students with Children and Family Responsibilities in Higher Education” (2023-1-HU01-KA220-HED-000156058) aims to reduce the barriers faced by students raising children and to strengthen institutional practices supporting them at the partner higher education institutions. In line with the educational, equal opportunities and care strategies of the European Union, the project seeks to contribute to the development of family-friendly and inclusive learning environments. The research is based on the recognition that students with family responsibilities often face academic and organisational challenges arising from their specific life circumstances, which require targeted institutional support. To address these challenges, a range of support tools was developed and tested with the broad involvement of teaching staff, supported by an online collaboration platform and regular professional consultations. Feedback confirmed the importance of community-based and advocacy support for students with family responsibilities, as well as the need for flexible institutional solutions.
