The Second International Partner Meeting of the DROP Project Successfully Held

The second international partner meeting of the DROP project was held on 29–30 January 2026, hosted by János Selye University in Slovakia. The aim of the meeting was to review the progress of the project to date, present interim research results, and coordinate forthcoming professional tasks.

As at the previous partner meeting, researchers from all four partner institutions were represented: Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, János Selye University, Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, and Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University.

On the first day of the meeting, participants had the opportunity to present and jointly discuss the results achieved so far. We reviewed experiences related to the conduct and analysis of interviews, examined completed preliminary studies, and assessed the current status of the data collection process. In addition, financial matters related to project implementation were discussed, and participants shared insights gained during the work carried out to date. The professional programme concluded with a joint dinner, which provided an opportunity to continue discussions in a more informal setting and to further strengthen cooperation.

On the second day, attention focused on the tasks required for the continued progress of the project and on issues arising in connection with their implementation. We discussed possible intervention measures that the individual institutions are able to undertake and implement within their own institutional frameworks in order to reduce student dropout rates. The meeting concluded with a joint lunch, which further reinforced professional ties and the foundations of ongoing cooperation.
